This series of posters promotes a 24 hour experimental media festival hosted at the Walker Art Center. The goal of this project was to create a coherent system of three event posters. To begin ideation, industrial sounds were listened to. Through mark making, word listing, and visual research many different assets were methodically collected. The selection of images for this poster series consists of numerous pictures of irises, mostly of human eyes, but also animal eyes to add subtle variety. Open Eyes is a 24 hour film and animation festival. A key feature of the event is the midnight to midnight aspect. Color schemes for each poster relating to a time of day were chosen. Sunset/Sunrise, Mid day, and Midnight were chosen as key times to be highlighted. In order to enhance depth as well as reinforce the time based aspect three eye collages were added to the background.

In addition to the series, a publication documenting the design process was developed. This 160 page perfect bound book documents all assets, inspiration, and studies from production process.
