This identity system celebrates the Minneapolis chain of Lakes and the surrounding parks. 2025 will be the 150 year anniversary of Parks by the lakes! This system draws inspiration directly from the shapes of each Lake in the chain (Lake of the Isles, Brownie Lake, Cedar Lake, Bde Maka Ska, and Lake Harriet). The left banner remains consistent and celebrates the connection between all the lakes through an abstract collage of all five lake shapes. Drawing from the DNR's topographical maps, a pattern was developed to represent each lake. The goal was to create a friendly, bold, and colorful system that would be welcoming and fun to all visitors at the parks.
